How to Clean Your Milton Water Bottles?

Cleaning your water bottle is as necessary as drinking water is. What is the point of drinking 2-3 liters of water if you’re drinking it from an unhygienic bottle. Here are few tips on how to clean your Milton water bottles at home.

1. Wash it in a dishwasher

These bottles are dishwasher safe. You can also check the bottom of the water bottle to make sure that it is dishwasher safe. Simply put it in a dishwasher every alternate day to disinfect it.

2. Wash it with soap and water

Empty your Milton water bottle and add a few drops of liquid dish wash gel. Add some water. Now lid the bottle properly and shake it properly for a minute. You can see the foam formation in the bottle. You can seek help from a bottle brush as well if it is narrow mouth bottle. Clean the cap as well. Let it dry naturally overnight.

3. Rinse it with Vinegar

Vinegar is a natural disinfectant and cleanser. It kills the germs and bacteria and eliminates the odour. But the vinegar isn’t able to kill the flu-causing virus. After washing your bottle with the above-mentioned method, fill your bottle up to 1/5th of its height with white vinegar. Fill the rest of the bottle with water. Let the vinegar water remain in the bottle overnight. Rinse it with clean water in the morning.

4. Use weak bleach solution

If you want to get rid of the germs from the bottle, then the bleach solution is the perfect for you. It is perfectly safe and effective. You can use the bleach water to sanitize your baby’s toys and bottles as well. Mix one teaspoon of bleach with 1/4th litre of water. Fill your water bottle with this solution and let it sit for few minutes. Throw the bleach water and rinse it with clean water.

5. Use Bottle Cleansing Tablets

There are properly designated tablets available for cleaning milton water bottles online. Efferdent is one such brand. Fill your bottle with water and drop the tablet in it. Let it stay for half an hour and then rinse it with clean water.
